Captioning glasses after six months

Captioning glasses resting on a desk beside a notebook.

Six months in, so this is a long-term review rather than an unboxing.

Where they work: one-to-one conversation in a quiet room, lectures with a single clear speaker, and video calls where the audio is already clean.

Where they do not: anywhere with crossing conversation. In a busy cafe the latency stacks up and you end up reading a sentence that finished ten seconds ago.

Battery is the real constraint. Roughly four hours of continuous use, which is not a working day.

The latency point matches my experience exactly. Useful supplement, not a replacement for an interpreter.
